MADD Canada Multi-Media Assemblies and Materials
Braking Point
Braking Point is a new classroom educational tool created by MADD Canada that targets – and portrays – 14 to 18 year-olds who use and abuse alcohol and marijuana. The educational package and accompanying DVD dramatize real situations of alcohol and marijuana use as well as the risks and consequences of heavy use and is available in English, French or Aboriginal versions.
Braking Point’s objectives are to:
• Create awareness of the risks and dangers involved in drinking and marijuana use and impaired driving,
• Connect these risks to common settings and situations in which many teens find themselves,
• Help them understand there are alternatives to dangerous risks,
• Provide strategies, including abstinence, that help them practice those alternatives, and
• Reduce the deaths and injuries caused by impaired driving.

Testimonials
"WOW. I am a Public Health Nurse that does a lot of drug and alcohol education in schools and I absolutely LOVE Braking Point. Finally, a youth program featuring real life senarios that isn't cheesy and unrealistic. You guys are bang on with this one. I plan on doing whatever I can to get this into our schools."
