Local Chapters and Community Leaders
Chapters and Community Leaders of MADD Canada are local action committees or individulas which undertake public awareness i.e. participate in our annual Project Red Ribbon Campaign, provide services to victims and their families within communities, educational programs, court monitoring, fundraising and advocating for tougher legislation.
Each MADD Canada Chapter is comprised of a Chapter Board, volunteers and members. The Chapter Board is the governing body of the Chapter and is responsible for Chapter operations, programs and protection of MADD Canada's trademark. The Chapter Board officers are elected by the Chapter membership.
The Board is comprised of officers and directors of the Chapter and shall include but is not limited to President, Vice president, Secretary, Treasurer or Secretary/Treasurer.
MADD Canada provides support materials to Chapters and Community Leaders, access to professional staff, training and education around victim support and impaired driving issues.
At a time where on average just under 4 Canadians are killed and just under 196 are injured on a daily basis due to an impaired driver, MADD Canada continues to advocate for tougher impaired driving legislation, heighten public awareness, setting a national standard of practice for victims and a focus towards youth.
