crimes, locate the resources they need to help them deal with
the criminal justice process and the various networks of services
and programs. We have provided the most up to date contact information

Storybooking for Victims
Do you have a story to document?
It has long been known that writing letters to a loved one, documenting
their lives or your own life can be a healing experience for those grieving.
Lori Smith, an injured victim of impaired driving, attended the 2007 MADD
Canada Annual National Victims' Weekend and did a presentation on
storybooking for victims of impaired driving. Now victims can write their
own stories and have it bound in a hard cover book with Lori's help. Lori is
an Independent Heritage Makers Consultant and is offering her assistance to
those who would like to write a book. Recently Sherry Caves, herself a
victim of two impaired driving crashes and the recipient of MADD Canada's
Citizen of Distinction award, documented her story in a Heritage Makers
book. This book is now available for sale through Heritage Makers or can be
borrowed from MADD Canada's lending library. Sherry's book was so well
written and inspirational that it has been nominated to receive the "Best of
Heritage" Award. To order Sherry's book or get more information or prices on
this program visit www.heritagemakers.com/152963 or contact Lori Smith at
storybooklegacy@gmail.com. MADD Canada thanks Lori for her support of
victims of impaired driving.
