The scourge of impaired driving was on display for motorists in Barrie.

Police were contacted around 9:15 p.m. about a vehicle that nearly caused a head on crash at Livingstone and Bayfield Street.

The vehicle was reported to be weaving in and out of traffic southbound on Bayfield and nearly hit a hydro box on Grove Street.

The driver pulled into a gas station after seeing a police cruiser.
A 20 year old man has been charged.
