Quinte Madd launches Red Ribbon Campaign
Mix 97
November 21st, 2008

A new feature to this year’s Project Red Ribbon in the Quinte area.

The program, run by Mothers Against Drunk Driving, held its official launch in Belleville today.

Local MADD Chapter President Kerri Jianapolous says the ribbons, which can be displayed on vehicles or other personal items, symbolize the importance of driving sober.

She says the ribbons, available through MADD members, also come with a red candle, which she encourages people to burn in remembrance of victims of impaired drivers.
